A photo library of your real business, sorted so anyone can find the right shot

A photo library replaces stock images with real pictures of your team, vehicles, premises and work. We shoot, edit, name and organise the files so they are easy to use on every page, post and quote.

A photo library is a set of real, edited photos of your business, organised so you can find the right picture quickly. It replaces the stock images and blurry snapshots most small businesses rely on. For many owners it is the smartest first step, because every other piece of marketing looks better once the pictures are honest and sharp.

Who it is for

Every local business needs one, but it matters most when customers compare you side by side before choosing. Think of someone looking at three Coquitlam cleaning companies on Google Maps: the one with a clear photo of a uniformed team and a spotless real kitchen usually wins over the one with a cartoon logo.

It is especially useful for:

  • trades and home-service businesses with vans, uniforms and finished jobs to show
  • clinics, studios and salons, where people want to see the room before they walk in
  • shops and restaurants along North Road, in Austin Heights or around Coquitlam Centre, where the storefront and interior are part of the decision

What is included

  • A shot list built around your pages. We look at your website, Google profile and quotes first, then list the images each one needs: a hero image for every service page, team photos, vehicle shots, before-and-after pairs, details of materials and tools.
  • The shoot. On a job site, at your premises, or both. We work around customers and crew, and avoid shooting anything that identifies a customer unless they agree in writing.
  • Editing. Colour and exposure corrected consistently, crooked lines straightened, clutter cropped. We do not fake results or edit out defects in your work.
  • Naming and sorting. Files named in plain words (for example deck-stain-before-westwood-plateau.jpg) and sorted into folders by service, so your office can find them.
  • Sizes for each use. Web-ready versions that load quickly, plus full-size originals.
  • Alt text suggestions. Short descriptions for each image so your website stays accessible to people using screen readers.

Timeline

  1. Planning call and shot list: about one week.
  2. Shoot: one day, sometimes split across a job site and your premises.
  3. Edited library delivered: usually within two weeks of the shoot.
  4. Placement: if we also manage your website copy, we put the new images in place and swap out the stock.

Plan the shoot for a dry, bright day if you work outdoors. In Coquitlam's wet months we move as much as possible indoors or under cover and book exterior shots for the next clear stretch.

How we measure it

Photos are hard to credit directly, so we compare before and after:

  • calls, texts and website clicks from your Google Business Profile in the months after new photos go up
  • how long people stay on service pages once stock images are replaced
  • whether your quotes and proposals get faster responses when they include real job photos
  • which images your team uses most, which tells us what to shoot next time

A note on editing honestly

We correct light, colour and crooked angles, and we crop out clutter. We do not remove defects from your work, add features that were not there, or combine shots to make a job look bigger. If a photo needs heavy fixing to look acceptable, we reshoot it instead.

Mistakes to avoid

  • Mixing stock and real photos. One obvious stock image makes the real ones look suspect. Remove them all.
  • Photographing everything once. You need several angles of your most important services, not one shot of everything.
  • Forgetting your vehicles and signage. A clean van with your name on it is one of the most trusted images a trade business can show.
  • Posting customer addresses. House numbers, street signs and licence plates can identify people. We frame them out or blur them.
  • Never updating. Staff, vans and premises change. Plan a refresh every year or so.

A photo library pairs naturally with content writing and makes short-form video look consistent. We photograph and market your business; we are not a contractor and do none of the trade work. See pricing or contact us to plan a shoot.

Frequently asked questions

Why not just use my phone photos?

Keep taking them; they are useful. But phone photos taken in a hurry are often dark, crooked or full of clutter, and they are rarely organised. A planned library gives you a core set of strong images to build every page around.

How many photos are in a library?

A first shoot usually produces somewhere between 60 and 150 edited images, depending on how many locations and jobs we cover. We would rather give you 60 you will use than 400 you will not.

Can staff refuse to be photographed?

Yes, and they should be asked properly. We get written consent from anyone who is recognisable, and we plan shots so people who prefer not to appear can still be part of the day.

Who owns the photos?

You do. The edited files are delivered to a folder you control, named and sorted so you can keep using them without us.
